Winternights is a meditation on tungsinn, the Scandinavian word for melancholy born of long winters and dwindling light. Inspired by the ancient harvest festival that marked summer’s passing, it finds solace in the scent of golden hay lifted toward the sky, glowing like spun gold against the darkening year. Warm resins, weathered wood, and honeyed grasses gather around it, creating a fragrance of quiet endurance and unexpected radiance. 

"The scent that has consistently followed and consoled me, in summer and autumn as much as in the depth of winter, is the sweetness of dried hay carried on a light wind. For millennia, Swedish farmers have harvested and cured hay on wooden poles, lifting it toward the light and keeping it from the moisture of the earth. I found myself drawn to elevate this humble material—to look again at what seems ordinary and help others discover its beauty."
