Amber Shadow

Amber Shadow lures you in with its glowing light and exquisite fruits, darkened by black tea. Woody silhouettes cast enigmatic shadows between velvet moonbeams. Our Dark Academia concept “Ambral Sanctum” is a portmanteau with Umbral (shadow) and Amber. Sanctum is a sacred place, like a dark library for magic seekers to learn about elixirs and spells.
“Perfumery, like alchemy, is an art form which has been steeped with secrecy for centuries. Both require years of study to master through painstaking trial and error. We all have the opportunity to strive for mastery in our own fields. Sometimes, this means stepping into the darkness and facing our innermost fears head on. Like the alchemists, as well as the physical world, we can transmute our persona, refine our spirit and reach our fullest potential.”
-Sam Macer
Beautiful masterpiece. My favorite from Scent Trunk out of everything I've tried so far.
Amber Shadow opens with the sweetness of a late-summer apricot harvest. Warm, golden and fleeting. Quickly settling into aged woods and supple leathers. The transition feels effortless, like stepping into a familiar but cozy room at dusk where the air still carries traces of sunlight and quiet contentment.
There is a meditative calm at its core... something a bit nostalgic yet grounded. It invites stillness and reflection, like that twilight hour when the day has offered all it can and there is nothing left to do but breath, unwind and lose yourself in a well written story.
Addictive, soothing and beautifully balanced. Amber Shadow feels perfect for a late summer, fall or wintry day and is best enjoyed in the company of someone dear.
Lovely !!!!
I was excited for this one because the description checked all of the boxes for me, and it was even better than I had anticipated. It immediately transports you to another world. There are endless layers as the scent evolves and changes and each one is surprising and special.
I do not find the scent overly sweet as a couple of the other reviews state. To me, I get more of a dried apricot rather than a candy or a jam. It's not sweet, just perfectly balanced. Sam Macer nailed it.
At first I was a little skeptical because it wasn't what I was expecting. The initial scent was very intense with the smokiness, but after a few uses and letting it settle I became obsessed with everything about it. Will definitely be buying again!
