Clara Weale is a self-taught Perfumer and Scent Designer based in Glasgow, Scotland. Her brand, Early Modern, is a playful exploration of contemporary perfume. 

Early Modern was born out of Clara's understanding and enjoyment of the materials and structures that shape our olfactory world. Deliberately abstract, Clara's scents are designed for you to experience through the lens of memory and nostalgia - for you to claim as your own.Clara is also the Founder and Director of A Library of Olfactive Material, an open access resource for scent education, experience and experimentation.
