ATMOSPHERE:
NOTES:
Country Air, Morning Dew, Verdant Fields, Trackside Buddleia Accord, Aged Honey, Steel, Red Brick Moss, City Smoke, Traffic
An olfactive journey, traveling from a countryscape to a cityscape; from fresh air and dewy, verdant fields, through to steel, granite chips and powdery aged honey, with red brick moss and city smoke. The Trackside Buddleia accord is the heartbeat of this fragrance - connecting these two atmospheres with a steady and consistent rhythm.
"Trackside Buddleia is a positive memory of traveling between countryscape to cityscape and existing between those atmospheres. Between familiar and unknown territories. There are some running parallels throughout - an open dewy grace, and green textures but also a brutalist, harder shape, that is the city, with a metallic, granite minerality. At heart there is also an enticing friction between honey and smoke. The rhythm of the scent is a consistent, solid beat, like a driving force, like the pace of a train. The Buddleia plant is a mundane, domestic, commonplace plant, that grows wildly along tracksides throughout the UK - an ‘invasive plant’ that connects these spaces. The fragrance seeks to re-examine a plant that is taken for granted, to highlight what surrounds us with double-perspective and to turn away from past notions of the ‘exotic’."

I was intrigued by the notes and description, which remind me of my own hometown. I didn't know what to expect and was blown away.
Wearing this feels like an early morning hike along train tracks, smoke and petrichor, pollinators hopping from flower to flower in dilapidated industrial ruins. The metallic side of this scent give it a very grunge feel, imo.
It's not for everyone and hasn't been a compliment-getter for me, but it's unlikely to be offensive unless you apply too much. Definitely go for the travel size first, especially if you're sensitive to white florals.
Trackside Buddleia is simply magical, and is one of those rare fragrances that conveys perfectly its creative brief. The play between verdant fields and city steel and traffic is so well-executed, with the lush dance of the trackside buddleia accord and honey serving as a calming constant throughout. I've used three travelers in the few weeks since I first fell in love with this, and am finally committing to a 100 ml full bottle. Ezra-Lloyd Jackson has done some impeccable perfumery with Trackside Buddleia ... thank you for bringing this gorgeous scent to us.
Delightful, somehow so decadent and balmy while staying cheery!
